Good & Better Holdings was incorporated in 2017 with the aim of importing quality products to the U.S market. Our main focus is high quality Silica Sand used in glass and chemical applications. Quartz, or silicon dioxide (SiO2), is one of the most common minerals found on the Earth’s surface and is found in rocks like granite, gneiss, and sandstone. Industrial silica sand however, is a higher value product than sand and gravel used in the construction industry. Quality silica sand is a coveted resource, commonly used in products ranging from flat glass application to scientific equipment and tests tubes. This high purity product is essential raw material from which computer chips, fiber optics and even computer chips are made.
Over the past few years, demand for silica sand increased considerably. According to the OEC, total trade of silica sand was $1.38B between 2017 and 2018, the exports of Silica sands and quartz sands grew by 96.3% from $705M to $1.38B from the previous year.
